Are you a student in translation/interpreting, or studying applied linguistics? This internship is your chance to put your language skills to use and further develop them in a dynamic work environment.
You'll join Delhaize's internal translation department, where you'll not only translate but also gain deep insight into how the organization works. Every day you'll contribute to our goal: giving our customers a unique shopping experience and high-quality service.
What you will do:
- Translate a variety of documents: contracts, press releases, manuals, PowerPoint presentations, and more
- Work across different tones of voice, from light and informal communication to more serious texts, adapting your language skills to fit each document perfectly
- Gain insight into what happens behind the scenes and stay up to date on various projects within the company
- Contribute creative copywriting
Who you are:
- Ideally in your second-to-last or final year of a translation program
- Native-level Dutch, with very good knowledge of French; English is a plus
- Translate documents and texts from French and/or English into Dutch
- Excellent spelling
- Strong communication skills, precise and flexible
- A team player who can also work independently
- Good knowledge of MS Office; knowledge of MemoQ translation software is a plus but not required
- Eager to discover the world of retail and use your skills in a dynamic, professional environment
